1940s Universal Geneve Compax stainless steel pocket watch, ref.22549, 46mm. with square pushers. The original and untouched dial is also nearly identical to the wristwatch version of the Compax, with the 30-minute register, 12-hour register, and running 60 seconds register, plus luminous alpha hands. The lume on the numerals has aged beautifully, the blue tachymeter scale and outer 60-minute register add a pleasing frame to the dial. It is also interesting that the left sub-dial has been used to place the company and model names along the wheel motif. Powered by a caliber 292 manually wound chronograph movement, which was also used for the oversized pilot chronograph wristwatches during the same era. Overall in well preserved condition and all functions work properly.
